Home Visits

A request for a home visit should only be made if you are too ill to get to surgery and it is essential for the doctor to visit you at home. Please ring the surgery before 10.30am, unless it is an emergency. Very few conditions require a home visit, so do try to get to the surgery. Children with temperatures or rashes are best seen at the surgery. Patients with suspected broken bones or injuries which require stitching are advised to go to the local casualty department instead of attending the surgery. Home visits are very time consuming and more difficult than seeing a patient in the surgery and it is always greatly appreciated if you can make it to the surgery.
